This is a wait for the special $5 bargain bin game, please do not pay full price to play this with yourself or friends. No split screen on offer either so you are limited to a bland max 4-player elimination mode. The laps themselves are so abysmally short (some take around 10 seconds to complete) that its like running a 400 meter race around a 40 meter track, round and round with no variety. ![]() There is absolutely no single player championship option in this game. Making your way through a long and varied championship, driving along long laps was a blast. I preordered this as I LOVED! micro machines on my Sega. This game has been designed exclusively with online play in mind. Please do not buy this game if you enjoy progressing yourself through a championship or playing with a friend/family member at home. Weapons did not exist in the original games as far as I recall so they should not be in this game but they are and they CANNOT BE TURNED OFF, You no longer race against the same cars in different colours instead you get a meager selection of just 12 vehicles to choose from (Granted some of them look different but they are skins that you get from loot boxes (Something else the original games did not have) I could go on and keep emphasizing just how far removed MMWS is from the core gameplay character of the classic games but I think I have laid out enough reasons to not buy this game already, If you need any more reasons I would suggest watching gameplay from older Micro Machines games and also gameplay of MMWS and see how much useless stuff they have added that rather than improving the formula actually ruins the franchise. The old original classic Micro Machines 2 (Turbo Tournament) is by far widely regarded as the best Micro Machines game ever made and there are numerous reasons for that. If you are considering this game for a nostalgia hit I suggest just buy a Sega Megadrive on ebay or something, MMWS is barely anything more than an overpriced commercial for Nerf products. The twelve race cars you can choose from you can pimp, and you can make use of their unique weapons.Where to even begin, Micro Machines World Series (MMWS) is so far removed from what made the franchise so great to begin with its an insult to Where to even begin, Micro Machines World Series (MMWS) is so far removed from what made the franchise so great to begin with its an insult to even call it Micro Machines, I've seen a few people say its like Overwatch with miniature cars and I hate to say this but I have to agree with them. On June 21st 2017 Micro Machines World Series can be played with 12 gamers at once, and up to 4 players on the same split-screen. We tried our hardest to make something great out of Micro Machines World Series for all gamers to enjoy.” In the same interview Bunney stated: “Because of the support we have gotten from Hasbro during the development process of Micro Machines World Series we can say that we are very proud to present this game which is a Hasbro product at its core, and because it is Hasbro we simply cannot disappoint the gaming audience. The fun level rises when you play this game online against each other or against the game’s A.I.” We saw some great results for the multiplayer free-to-play mobile version of Micro Machines, but because of the graphics processing which takes place in game consoles and in a PC we hope that gamers around the world will have a similar or even better experience than with the mobile game. In an interview with the Vice-President of the developer of the Micro Machines World Series, Jonathan Bunney, he stated the following: “The original Micro Machines video game was a breakthrough multiplayer race game which managed to keep its fans close for quite some time. ![]() The best Micro Machines gaming experience up to now
